It's been....

....a while so here I am. Here are a few updates as to how I'm doing and what I've been up to:
The week from April 31 to Friday May 4th I tackled the weights and cardio. I had NO pop just water and ate pretty healthy with those lean cuisine dinners and lots of fruit and salads. Sat and Sun I went for walks and at Sunday dinner had 1/2 the size of dessert I normally would have had. My friend Bobbi loves to decorate and organize rooms and when I mentioned I wanted to surprise Kirk with a "new" master bedroom, for our 10 year anniversary, she was all over it. So Monday May 7 I started by taking every thing out of our room so I could start to paint. We then went into Lethbridge, picked and bought paint and finished getting other decorative things for the room. (May 3rd Bobbi and I went to Lethbridge where I bought throw pillows and a mirror and ordered a sleigh bed and side tables and dresser to be delivered the following Wednesday). Monday at 4 pm I primed the trim and had the first coat of "sour cream" colored paint on before I turned in. Tues morning I put the second coat on the trim and door and after lunch I began to paint the walls "Bernard beach" color (it reminds me of butterscotch pudding). By Wednesday afternoon I touched up all the needed paint areas and waited for the delivery of the furniture which was to come between 6pm and 8pm. They arrived at 7:30 and with the help of my mother in law (Debi) and Bobbi we unpacked and put all the furniture in there designated spots. Put the bed frame together with the mattress and began to hang and put clothes away. They left at 11 and I stayed up vacuuming all the bits of Styrofoam and putting things away until 1:30am. Thursday (May 10th, our anniversary) Kirk was going to be home at 6pm or 7pm so Bobbi and I went back into Lethbridge to pick up the last touches like photos and curtains and baskets. We were back home by 3:40pm and I had to load the truck with all the empty boxes and bagged Styrofoam to take to the dump while Bobbi set the room up before Kirk got home. At 7:30 Kirk drove into the driveway and my girls ran out and blind folded him and led him to our room. Boy was he shocked and for at least 10 minutes all he could say was "wow", "wow", "wow". We love our new room and it sure makes us happy to think we get to live in it for 10 more years (times 10) to come.
So as you can guess I didn't make it to the gym this last week but I mowed the lawns which is hard cardio with a push mower that isn't propelled and took me 1 hour in the back yard and about 1/2 hour in the front. I took things up and down the stairs at least 50 times through out 5 days and was so busy I didn't have time to snack but made sure I ate my main meals. I have to say I see a difference in how my clothes are fitting looser, however, when I weighed myself at my mom's yesterday I still weigh the same.? Is this normal? Any way it has been a great 2 weeks and I'm on the "band wagon" again, going to the gym!
I'll post pics of the room as soon as I can. Thanks to all those who are cheering me on and for all the great advise! Keep it up!

Not losing weight but losing inches is common. Feeling better and looking better go hand in hand! Way to go, Tina!

just remember Tina, muscle weighs more than fat, and you are building that muscle. and clothes fitting better has got to make you feel great! Keep up the hard work. By the way, I went for a bike ride every day last week, some longer than others, and i did yoga too. I'm still struggling with eating after dinner, but i'm working on it.
