surfing

In the past couple of weeks I've been surfing, or maybe it's snooping, through blogs of people I don't know. I guess if it's not private they want you to come check out their lives, right? Anyway, I've found so many fun ones on transforming items into something new and improved. I've added them to my "I love Creativity" link. So here's what I've done and remember I'm just a beginner at sewing.

My mother-in-law gave me this skirt and I don't know how she wore it cause she is shorter than me. I tend to only get it out on freezing cold Sundays to keep me warm at church so I thought why not try to give it an update.
So i cut off the bottom and made a ruffle out of that and added it to the bottom.
I had some extra ruffled material so I made a flower and sewed it on.

There you have it a newish skirt for me.
