Keeping Christ in Easter

The other day Kirk told me of his dislike of the whole Easter Bunny hopping through houses to drop off treats. I feel the same about Santa, minus the hopping. So I found some awesome ideas on keeping Christ in Easter.

First this:

2nd:

(Each ingredient represents something used to prepare Christ's body for burial.)

-Large marshmallows
-Melted butter (less than 1/2 stick)
-A mixture of cinnamon/sugar (yum!)
-A can of refrigerated crescent rolls (makes 8)

3rd
Sunday: Plan of Salvation review and what Christ's role in the plan is.
Monday: Triumphal Entry
Tuesday: Purging the Temple and the Widow's Mite
Wednesday: The Last Supper and Washing the Disciples' Feet (Also can be taught are the parables)
Thursday: The Garden of Gethsemane and Christ' Arrest
Friday: Peter's Denial, The Crucifixion and The Burial
Saturday: No Picture. We talked about the Spirit World and Jesus' teaching. Also we read about the darkness in the Americas.
Sunday: Christ Visiting Mary, The Empty Tomb, Christ Visiting the Apostles

I'm so excited about starting this and really making Easter a great spiritual learning and reflecting celebration about our Savior Jesus Christ!

Love the Easter idea. We have tried that the last few years. We don't do all week, but the 'fun' Easter bunny stuff we do on Saturday, then on Sunday, we talk about the 'real' Easter. And on the Monday before we usually have a FHE about it as well.

Cute skirt! and great easter ideas :) Can I just tell you how refreshing it is to see your "testimony" on your blog?? So many of my friends back home just don't go anymore and it makes me sad. Oh, and the glasses.. super cute. Keep 'em.
